The information on this site is intended to promote the sport of canoeing and Copeland Canoe Club.

The club recognises that "Canoeing and Kayaking are "assumed risk water contact sports" that may carry attendant risks. Participants should be aware of and accept these risks, and be aware of the need for their own action and involvement" .

Copeland Canoe Club recommends that anyone intending to take part in canoeing or kayaking activities should seek advice and training from an appropriately qualified (BCU) coach.

Copeland Canoe Club subscribes to the codes of conduct for equity and for young people / vulnerable adults as set out by the British Canoe Union/Canoe England. We subscribe to their policies with regard to photography and the use of video equipment

Our code of conduct for all, coaches, members of all ages and parents is set out on the membership form. All members are asked to sign that they will abide by it.
