Club Annual Meeting A well attended meeting at the Harbour Project on 9 November saw much discussion regarding club activities and future plans. Watch out for announcements regarding trips and holidays soon!
Two of our members took part in the recent race on the Ötz in Austria, search online for "Adidas Sickline"! Rob was 43rd and Richard in his first attempt was 79th - out of 150 starters. Well done both of you!

This event took place on 5th and 6th November, based at Hexham. A cool and damp weekend saw 19 Club members out (and several hangers on!) on Saturday - about 20% of our membership! Well done to all who took part.
White Water Safety and Rescue Course Six of us, Joe, Al, Rob, Rich, Nick and Josh took part in a an interesting and useful course in the Eden and the Tees recently. Highly recommended! Anyone who would like to take part in another one should discuss things with Mark J

We hope to update this regularly, current date for it is 29/11/2016. It includes school holiday dates for 2017-19 as well. Members are asked to help us fill in dates with events they will run...

Members are encouraged to check for themselves things such as the weather conditions before paddling.
Last pool session for 2016 is 13 Dec. We restart pool sessions on January 10, 2017. More details soon.
We are looking to find out what members think about the club and what they would like to happen in the future. We produced a questionnaire which members were invited to complete. We are now looking at the results to see what you say you want.

December is Winter (winter is here...)! It can be very cold in windy conditions so please ensure you have enough clothing to keep you warm and carry safety gear as well as food / drink... Be careful out there...
After last year's flooding many local rivers have changed. Many have debris and other items in them and may have changed their course in places.
The water in the rivers might be contaminated. Please be careful to take precautions with hygiene.
Please check websites / facebook groups for information before paddling!
