After the race, prize-giving and refreshments was in the Ratty Arms, behind the main car park in the village.

We launch from the beach at the seaward end of Ravenglass Main Street, Grid Ref: SD 084 962 but you need to move any vehicles to the car park (P&D, postcode CA18 1SQ) in the village as the tide comes right in, possibly to the end of the street! High Tide is at 13:40.

Please note, if you are coming from the North along the A595, there is a speed camera in Holmrook village soon after the 30mph sign. Drive carefully!

Times for 2026
Registration starts at 09:30 till 11:15 ish. Cars must be off the beach by 11:15 as the tide will be coming in.
Compulsory briefing at 11:40, the event starts at 12:00, finish 15:00. High Water is at 13:40.
Prize giving and results in (we hope) the Ratty Arms starting about 16:00.

Entry donations are £10 single (adult), £5 U18, £15 families.

You can pay by cash/cheque on the day, preferably cash. If you email your entry in early you can pay by bank transfer, details on the entry form. Please remember to put "Seaquest" and your name or initials so we can trace your entry payment.
If you do email your entry please remember to change the filename to include your initials or name so we don't lose your entry.

In 2025 more than 100 competitors entered. The weather was great and everyone seems to have had a really good time. Download the results opposite.

The Charity for 2026 will be our Local Scout Association Group (1st Hensingham, based at Whitehaven) Ravenglass Seaquest has previously donated to Living Seas NW, Cumbria Canoeists for Coaching support, Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team, the Great North Air Ambulance, First Responders, RNLI (St Bees Lifeboat)/ Maryport Rescue, Cancer Research UK and CFM "Cash for Kids".
In 2019 we donated to the "Northern Brainwave" Appeal.
In 2021 we supported the "Northern Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust" with a donation of £403. In 2022 we supported the Save the Children's Ukraine Fund and are also collecting monies towards a defibrillator for the Club. 2023 - we decided to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis as one of our members has this condition.
In 2024 we chose Wasdale Mountain Rescue.2025: Cumbria First Responders.
